![]() When trying to follow the tutorial I got stuck just in the first part: On the steps above illustrated, I followed using the CST to add some extra trees coniferous and descidious ones, and curiously skipping part D I tested the scenery and those trees that were made manually actually appeared on the scenery.Īlso the coniferousmap.bmp as the descidiousmap.bmp changed from black and white to green and white, but still they opened ok on the CST.Īs I understood, the whole idea of the Part D was to make good land textures under the tree areas so the trees didn´t appeared to be growing from dust but from a green kind of area. Thanks for your kind answer.Īs for the part D of the tutorial I really can´t understand it, maybe it´s an issue with Terragen but I´m not really sure. This is, it would be 11 tyies width x 10.5 tiles height.įinally, could it be possible to pan all over the scenery for design and scenery verification without the need of flying it all? How do you check that all the objects are in the right place and that everything would look good once you get there? If you have one turnpoint 100 km away from the nearest airport, how do you get to it to check it out on the sim? Flying fast and with many "Q" key hits? That means that the (scenery).bmp if it is 8 times smaller that the actual texture scenery, it would cover all the width but would be half a tyle short. Still maybe the problem has to do with the idea that the scenery tiles rendered from terragen would actually make a big square, with the top part flatten out, so the (scenery).bmp is actually smaller in height. The coniferousmap.bmp is 200% bigger than the (scenery).bmp. I flew for a while and finally I found some trees behind the mountain that was supposed to be fulll of trees. I´m making my local flying site and was using a technic similar that the one that uses satellite pictures to get the forest in the right places.įinally I got to a point were the forest maps were looking good on the scenery editor, but when I exported the forest map and tryed the game there were no trees at all on the supposed places.
